Dance artist, Gill Clarke, leads PAL’s cross-disciplinary exploration of our embodied nature. PAL’s Movement & Meaning Lab brings physical and sensory intelligence of dance artists together with scientists, social scientists, and influential policy makers and opinion-formers across culture and education.

PAL Screen launches the first screenwriters Lab programme in India for developing feature film for international markets, led by the award winning filmmaker, Nila Madhab Panda (I am Kalam).

‘If Not You, Who Else?’ initiates a 3-way collaboration in London between a diverse group of 6 artists, 16 young people and urban communities in Southwark and Lewisham to engage in artistic practice as a method of social critique and integration.

If Not You, Who Else?: INYWE PAL: Reflections from lab participant Sian Goldby. Being an unemployed arts graduate feels like being caught in an endless loop; the job search swallows your days whilst your creativity rapidly disintegrates. Most visual artists, poets and designers are able to work alone, however dance requires a relationship with other bodies in space. On leaving university you lose a vital network and support system. You feel pushed out the back door, your academic and social life is dispersed, and you’re left with little money standing at a gaping entrance that is the rest of your life. Read more »
