+ two follow-up Labs

This Screenwriters Lab took the theme of Adaptations. The mentors were Hollywood screenwriter Carol Doyle; screenwriter and script consultant to Ken Loach, Roger Smith; and the writer/directors Malcolm Mowbray and Marleen Gorrris

PAL mentors do not follow a set formula in the mentoring of screenplays.  They speak from their own considerable professional experience, and work on a project-by-project basis, often adding insights gained in other mentoring situations. They are in residence throughout the Lab and give their feedback, insights, analysis, ideas and support throughout the day to each of the writers, not only in set tutorials.

For this Mentor it was wonderful to realize that there is a place were writers can go without fear, and share the intimacy of the creative experience.  I wish I’d known about PAL when I was starting out. Carol Doyle
