January 2010 | QCDA Lab
“In ten years time what will learners need for their futures and what will curriculum and assessment look like to enable this?” This was the question which formed the starting point for a Lab commissioned by the QCDA. It brought together a mix of 14 senior policymakers and practitioners across the arts, sciences and education.
Over three packed days the participants explored a vision and purpose for education in the future in the UK, ways of moving thinking forward in the current contexts of curriculum and assessment.
QCDA officials have reported that the Lab made a significant impact on their approach to their strategic work. They have spoken of their respect for and appreciation of the artists with whom they worked.
